Britta Devitt
Britta has been dancing for twenty-five years and hopes to never stop.  As a child she danced for six years in Miami City's "The Nutcracker" and Dance Alive.  She studied at Studio Brochette and Dance Theater Academy and graduated from Cypress Lake High School Center for the Arts in Fort Meyers, FL.  In 2006 Britta earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Studies at the University of South Florida.  For the past eight years she has taught all levels of ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop at community centers, schools and private studios in Tampa Bay.
In 2007 Britta became a member of Affirmation Ballet Company.  In 2009 she traveled with ABC on mission to Costa Rica to work with the indigenous people of Talamanca and Las Tablas using the gift of dance to bring the gospel. Britta is excited to be in her seventh season with Affirmation Ballet Company and second year on faculty. 
Britta lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband Chris and three children, Lydia, Lucille and Oliver.

Lisa Ann Porterfield Adjunct
Lisa was born in St. Petersburg, Florida.  She graduated from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and is now pursuing a Master's Degree in Economics at USF, Tampa.  She has been a student of dance since the age of three.  Her focus during her formal training has been classical ballet, and she began training at Affirmation Performing Arts Centre in 2007.  Lisa became a member of Affirmation Ballet Company in 2008 and this is her seventh season.  She has danced solo roles in many of the classics, as well as, leading role in "Transfiguration" and other original works with ABC.  In addition to becoming a seasoned dancer, Lisa has become an accomplished teacher and choreographer through her training at Affirmation Performing Arts Centre.  She teaches all levels of ballet, as well as, tap and theater classes.  She traveled with ABC on mission to Costa Rica in 2009, 2010 and 2012, using dance and drama as creative tools to bring the love of Jesus to the marginalized and oppressed.  Lisa looks forward to where God is calling her with this ministry using the gift of dance to build the Kingdom and share the "Good News of Jesus".

CiGi Shea
CiGi was born in Pinellas Park, Florida.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pinellas Park High School in 2007.  After high school she pursued a teaching degree at St. Petersburg College where she graduated with her Bachelors in Education, 2011.  For the last three years she has been teaching in Pinellas County Schools, Kindergarten and Third grade.  CiGi began her formal dance training in 1999 at The Ballet Society in St. Petersburg, FL.  In 2004 she began training Affirmation Centre for Ballet Arts where she studied ballet, jazz and modern dance and danced as a company member from 2004-08.  In the summer of 2006, CiGi traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to train at Ballet Magnificat's summer dance intensive.  In 2007 she was accepted to Sarasota's Ballet's summer intensive.  She has danced various roles with ABC and  leading role in the ballet "Transfiguration" in 2008.After some time off to focus on her marriage, career and ministry, CiGi is excited to share her passion for dance and follow God's calling in her life. She and her husband John, live in Clearwater.

Lauren Rae Hensley
Lauren was born and raised in Seminole, FL.  In 2010 she graduated Suma Cum Laude from Seminole High School.  She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism Studies at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg.  Lauren has always had a passion for the arts.  At a young age she began participating in musical theater productions with the children's choir at her church, First Baptist of Indian Rocks. Lauren continued her musical theater training through the church, as well as taking private piano lessons for many years.  She is also passionate about photography and hopes to incorporate the art as part of her career and ministry.  In 2000 Lauren began her dance training with Affirmation Centre for Ballet Arts. She studied ballet, jazz, tap and modern and worship dance with Andrea Sanders for ten years.  In 2003, she became a member of Affirmation Ballet Company.  Her performance experience includes "Transfiguration", "The Nutcracker", as well as, many other original works created for Affirmation Ballet.  Returning to ABC this year, Lauren has joined the teaching staff and is very excited to follow God's call to ministry through the arts.


Andrea Sanders, director
Andrea began her ballet training at the age of seven in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She received her formal training and performance experience with Robert Joffrey, NYC., Edward Villela, Miami City Ballet, Violet Verdi, Henry Parish, Edith Royal, Martin Friedman and mentor Anzia. Andrea has performed with Tampa Ballet as principal dancer, Spanish Lyric Theater, Baton Rouge Ballet Company, Miami City Ballet and Southern Ballet Theater. Her college focus was Music and Dance at St. Petersburg College and University of South Florida with extensive study, performance experience and directing background in Musical Theater. She has appeared on national TV commercials, exercise videos and Disney children's show. She developed and directed summer theater camps for the City of Largo and Cultural Center for four years and taught Arts Education in Pinellas County private schools for ten years. Andrea was a pioneer in developing the dance program for Pinellas County Center for Performing Arts, Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, FL. As Artistic and Administrative Director for Affirmation Ballet and Performing Arts Centre she designs programs and curriculum for all levels of dance, theater camps and summer outreach.  On mission Andrea has traveled with the ABC team to Costa Rica and Ecuador several times to bring the gospel using the medium of dance and theater to the lost. Dedicated to reclaiming the ARTS for the Lord she has helped establish dance and drama ministries in local churches and abroad.  She and her husband Don have raised two children and have eleven grandchildren, several are gifted in the ARTS. Andrea is grateful to be a servant of Jesus surrendered to His creative call in the Arts to further the Kingdom.
